Who we are
Mentioned is operated by Mentioned. Contact: support@example.com.
What we collect
- Account data: your email address, the workspaces you belong to and your role, and notification preferences.
- Project data: brand names, aliases, domains, competitors and prompts you enter, plus the AI answers we collect for them.
- Free audit: the domain you enter, the email you provide to unlock results (and whether you opted in to follow-up emails), and a salted hash of your IP address used only for rate limiting (cleared after 30 days).
- AI-referral snippet (if a customer installs it on their site): the AI assistant a visit came from and the landing page path. No cookies, identifiers, query strings or IP addresses are stored.
- Billing: handled by Stripe; we store subscription status and plan, not card details.
- Product analytics: server-side counts of key steps (e.g. audit started, sign-up, trial started) tied to your account, without tracking cookies.
How we use it
To run the Mentioned service: querying AI providers (OpenAI, Perplexity, Anthropic, Google) with your prompts, analysing their answers, crawling your public site, researching keywords, writing, fact-checking and publishing articles to the destinations you connect, auditing your site, generating reports, alerts and recommendations, sending account, notification and audit emails, preventing abuse, and improving the product.
Cookies
We only use cookies that are strictly necessary: your sign-in session, your active workspace, and access to audit results you unlocked.

Your choices
- Export your workspace data and delete brands or your account from your account settings.
- Unsubscribe from digests, alerts and marketing emails with the link in every email, or in notification settings.
